If you are feeling overwhelmed by life and events during the Coronavirus pandemic, engaging with a licensed therapist could help. The National Coronavirus Hotline offers free telehealth mental health services to eligible users experiencing mental illness, depression, anxiety, insomnia, or distress as a result of Coronavirus. Up to 53% of adults say that the pandemic has negatively impacted their mental health. Engaging in talk therapy with licensed therapists can help you to gain the support and advice you need to care for your mental health during this difficult time.
Step 1: Sign up for service on the National Coronavirus Hotline.
Step 2: You will receive an email with an authentication code. Verify your email and log in to the NCH Dashboard. Click the Mental Health button.
Step 3: Complete the required information.
- Prequalify for Free Services by entering your name, address, phone number, and Social Security Number. This information will allow us to verify your identity and determine if you qualify for free services. You may also verify your identity through a secret code provided to you. If you have already verified your identity, you can continue through the following steps.
- Click the Mental Health History Form and provide the requested information. The Mental Health History form has 5 sections.
- Complete, review, and submit all sections of the form.
Step4: Once the Mental Health History form has been completed, you can click on the Book Mental Health Service or Book Consultation button. Both buttons will allow you to move to the next step.
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation email from NCH with your appointment with a mental health therapist.
